Project Overview

Since October 2021, I've served as Social Media Marketing Manager for Doyenne Consulting, crafting and executing digital strategies that amplify the brand's voice, build community engagement, and drive meaningful connections with target audiences. Doyenne Consulting provides operations consulting and business management services to small businesses and entrepreneurs, and my role focuses on translating their strategic expertise into compelling digital content that resonates across platforms.

Challenge

Doyenne Consulting operates in the crowded operations consulting space, where differentiation is difficult and building trust with potential clients requires consistent, authentic presence. The challenges included:

  • Audience Attention in Saturated Market: Standing out among countless business consultants and coaches requires content that balances educational value with authentic personality—too generic and you're ignored, too promotional and you're dismissed.

  • Platform Algorithm Navigation: Social media algorithms constantly evolve, requiring adaptive strategies that maintain visibility and engagement despite frequent platform changes.

  • Budget Constraints: As a small consulting firm, Doyenne Consulting operates with limited marketing budgets, requiring creative approaches to content production, promotion, and community building that deliver results without significant financial investment.

  • Content Consistency: Maintaining regular posting cadences across multiple platforms while ensuring quality and strategic alignment requires systematic planning and efficient execution.

I develop and execute content strategies across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter, adapting core messaging to each platform's unique characteristics and audience expectations. This includes understanding platform-specific content formats (Instagram Reels vs. LinkedIn articles vs. Twitter threads), timing optimization based on audience behavior patterns, and tone calibration that maintains brand consistency while respecting platform culture.

I use analytics to inform content decisions without becoming enslaved to metrics. This involves tracking engagement patterns to understand what resonates, identifying content themes that drive meaningful interactions (not just vanity metrics like likes), A/B testing messaging approaches and visual styles, and adjusting strategies based on performance data while maintaining creative integrity.

Beyond content creation, I focus on cultivating genuine community through strategic engagement—responding authentically to comments and messages, participating in relevant conversations across platforms, building relationships with complementary brands and thought leaders, and creating content that invites conversation rather than just consumption.
