Global Technical Project Coordination
Project Overview
From August 2020 through June 2023, I served as Technical Project Manager and Operations Coordinator for Wonderchrome, managing complex technical projects across global time zones, diverse industries, and multidisciplinary teams. Wonderchrome operated as a consultancy supporting clients in healthcare technology, patent management, international product development, and creative industries.
My role required fluency across technical and creative domains—coordinating healthcare EHR platform development one day, managing Art Basel exhibition logistics the next, implementing Scrum methodology for international teams, and overseeing sensitive patent filing processes throughout.
Challenge
Wonderchrome's client portfolio diversity created unique operational challenges:
Technical Complexity Across Domains: Projects spanned healthcare technology (EHR platforms with cannabis tracking integration), international software development (African-based teams building record management systems), patent coordination (IP filing for sensitive technology innovations), and creative industry operations (art gallery exhibitions, fashion brand partnerships).
Global Team Coordination: Teams operated across significant time zone differences (New York, Africa, West Coast), requiring coordination systems that respected working hours while maintaining project momentum.
Stakeholder Management Across Sophistication Levels: I needed to translate between highly technical development teams, non-technical creative stakeholders, legal teams handling patent work, and executive leadership making strategic decisions—all with different communication preferences and technical literacy.
Concurrent Project Execution: Multiple high-stakes projects ran simultaneously, each with different timelines, stakeholder groups, and success criteria, requiring sophisticated prioritization and resource allocation.
Sensitive Information Management: Patent work and healthcare data required exceptional confidentiality practices and strategic discretion.
Rapid Technology Adaptation: Each new project involved different technology stacks, development methodologies, and industry contexts, requiring quick learning and adaptation.
Strategic Approach
Healthcare Technology Program Management - Pivotal Health/Alysida
I led program management for Pivotal Health's integrated platform, which combined traditional EHR (electronic health records) functionality with Alysida—a cannabis supply chain and endocannabinoid tracking system. This complex project required coordinating three cross-functional teams:
Product Team: Defining features, user requirements, and platform capabilities in collaboration with healthcare providers and cannabis industry stakeholders.
Development Team: Building both front-end patient/provider interfaces and back-end data systems, ensuring HIPAA compliance for healthcare data while integrating cannabis tracking capabilities.
UX/UI Team: Designing user experiences that made complex healthcare and tracking workflows intuitive for diverse user groups (patients, doctors, dispensary operators, compliance officers).
I managed stakeholder alignment across these teams, ensured front-end and back-end integration proceeded smoothly, coordinated patent-related requirements (the tracking methodology had IP protection), and maintained healthcare data compliance standards throughout development.
International Development - Scrum Implementation
For Alpha Record (an Africa-based development team), I implemented Scrum methodology to improve project velocity and stakeholder communication. This involved training the team on Scrum practices, establishing sprint cadences that worked across time zones, facilitating daily standups and sprint planning sessions, and creating visibility systems that kept leadership informed without creating reporting overhead.
Art Industry Operations - Gallery & Exhibition Coordination
I coordinated high-profile creative industry projects including:
Art Basel Logistics: Managed exhibition coordination for Jannus Gallery (Atlanta) and Dress Abstract clothing brand during Art Basel—one of the world's premier art fairs. This required vendor management, shipping logistics for artworks, exhibition setup coordination, and on-site operations during the event.
Partnership Development: Coordinated partnership negotiations with Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas for a major installation project. While the deal ultimately didn't proceed, I managed the proposal development, stakeholder communications, and negotiation coordination through multiple decision stages.
Patent Filing Process Design
I designed systematic patent filing processes for sensitive technology projects, creating workflows that ensured IP protection while maintaining development momentum. This included coordinating with legal teams, managing confidential documentation, establishing information access controls, and tracking filing milestones across multiple patent applications.
Technical Documentation & Translation
Throughout all projects, I created comprehensive technical documentation (manuals, specifications, process guides) and translated complex technical concepts into accessible information for diverse audiences—executives making strategic decisions, non-technical stakeholders evaluating progress, and external partners assessing capabilities.
